  1. A good effort, and I particularly like the nice clean graphics. I got more serious about video in the third quarter of 2011, and have hardly taken a still image since, and I have been astonished at the time it takes. It’s a much steeper learning curve than stills, and editing native DSLR footage is very demanding on computer hardware. I have had to invest in a 3930K system with 32Gb RAM and 10 drives including two raid0 arrays, but it is a satisfying process.

  2. @Trevor – Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Learning video is, as you say, a steep but enjoyable learning curve. Peter and Neil have had the added challenge of learning to present on camera and do voice overs.

The gear investment involved is also substantial. We use two 5DIIs, a range of lenses, rented sound equipment and a combination of editing software and computer hardware. The price tag of all that would make a small child (and many a grown man) cry.

Ultimately, it is very satisfying to create something in a new medium.

  3. Could I suggest you make this sample a bit easier to find ? Maybe on the homepage for Dynamic Range itself ? A bit of “try before you buy” never did any harm :-)

  4. No sooner said, than done =) Should have done that ages ago, thanks for pointing it out.
