  • Great podcast, guys.

With regards to whether the camera paranoia has hit Ireland… take your SLR to the IFSC area in Dublin and see how long it takes for ‘Paul Blart’, the IFSC security guard on a Segway, takes to come over to you and banish you from the area. It’s a joke.

  • Good point, Darren.

For fun, we should give it a go and have someone video it.

Unless, they get arrested as well of course.

We may need a back-up videographer.

  • Hi Guys,
Great podcast! Very informative and motivational. Looking forward to the next episode.

  • Hi Guys,

Great podcast. Really informative and you’re spot on with all your comments/ideas on the business. Great interview with Paul altough it was a little difficult to hear unless you’re listening to the podcast on headphones (I’m being picky… I used to own a recording studio so I’m one of those really annoying people who point out every little thing that’s wrong but who in reality is just jealous that someone else is doing something really cool)…

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks, Corin!

If you record your evil laugh, we’ll play it on the next show along with mine.

    Seriously, we will.

  • Darren, the area inside the IFSC is private property hence why segway man appears to act like a demi-god on the matter, but in fact while we don’t like it, the management company will have the law/right on their side.

I did see 8-10 photographers once “rush the place” at 9pm at night (without the intention to actually shoot the area) but to see the reaction of the poor divil that was on security that night. Funny really. It took less than a minute for the guy to appear. The photographers had tripods and gear loaded on said tripods from shooting down the quays earlier so it looked liked they meant business. The security guy (no segway) did politely explain that photography wasn’t allowed at which point it was explained to him politely that they weren’t taking photographs but were just walking through…. He looked a little puzzled.

There have been instances of the Gardaí doing the “take that f****** camera out of my face” stuff at protests and so forth but I don’t think anyone’s yet been arrested just for taking photographs.

Ah, its a funny old world really.

    :)

    Tommy.

    Hi

I’m always on the hunt for good photography podcasts, and it’s great to find one from Ireland/UK. Can I make a request that you turn up the volume on the recording please? The first episode wasn’t too bad, but I’ve had difficulty hearing the second one at all.

Other than that, the podcasts have been interesting and I look forward to future episodes.

    Thanks

    Michael

  • Thanks Michael.

We’ll look into the volume issue. We haven’t had any other complaints and it comes through OK on our systems. But if anyone else is having the same issue, please do let us know.

  • [...] quick post today as I’ll be tied up for most of it recording the third episode of The Circle of Confusion together with Peter [...]

  • Loving the new podcast guys. Well done.
